Putting It All Together: Photography Series Assignment
A series is a group of photos that have a common theme.
For this assignment you will need to submit a minimum of 5 photos that all share a common theme. Use what you have learned in previous lessons to create and choose interesting photos.
Step One - Choose a Theme
When choosing your theme, pick something that will be easy to find, visit and photograph and of course keep it school appropriate.
A theme can be anything that ties your photos together. Here is a list of some ideas, however; you are welcome to come up with your own theme idea.
- a colour (yellow, purple, green, etc.)
- a shape (circle, square, heart, etc.)
- a mood (joyful, melancholy, etc.)
- windows
- reflections
- close ups
- clouds
What's the Theme?
Step Two - Observe and Photograph
Pay attention to what’s around you. Seek out things that match your theme. Don’t get too abstract with your theme. You want your audience to be able to figure out your theme with ease.
Take more than the minimum required photos so that you can pick your favourites.
