Concrete Poetry
What is a concrete poem?
A concrete poem is a poem that takes the shape of whatever it is about. The subject of your poem becomes your shape. Concrete poems do not have to rhyme. They are supposed to be about tangible objects rather than feelings or ideas.
How do you write a concrete poem?
Pick a shape that you find interesting. You can start by brainstorming some words that relate to that shape. Write your poem using those ideas. Shape the lines of the poem to look like what your poem is about.
